Guesty vs Hostaway

Guesty and Hostaway are both cloud-based PMS/short-term rental management platforms. They integrate with multiple OTA channels (like Airbnb, Booking.com, VRBO), offer a centralized calendar and booking synchronization, automate guest messaging. Both include analytics and revenue/occupancy reports and have APIs for integration with external systems. Both services also have their own marketplaces with a wide range of add-ons.

But Guesty (2013) is an Israeli service that also offers its own website builder with online booking, unified inbox (which collects all guest messages from different channels in one place), tools for automating financial processes, payment system integration, invoicing and commission distribution. It has a unique multi-unit management feature, allowing similar apartments to be grouped under a single listing.

Hostaway (2015) is a Finnish project, more focused on Europe customers. This platform features automatic initial account setup, includes multiple AI functions (for message and description generation, price optimization, etc.), task management system (for appartment cleaning, maintenance) and automation engine for various processes such as contract signing. Hostaway is better for large network businesses.
