Tebra ($387M)

DrChrono and Tebra are both US-based SaaS medical practice management platforms, focused on small private clinics (not large hospital chains). They include EHR, scheduling, billing and patient communication tools (portals, online booking, alerts). Both solutions comply with healthcare data protection regulations.

But DrChrono (founded in 2009) is one of the most popular systems in the US. It originally launched as an iPad app for medical records and still uses mobile-first tactic. The system includes revenue cycle management and provides an API for third-party developers to expand its functionality. DrChrono is certified for Electronic Prescribing of Controlled Substances (EPCS) and Meaningful Use Stage 3.

Tebra (2021) is positioned as an "operating system" for practices. In addition to traditional medical functions, it includes strong CRM and marketing tools for online reputation management and website creation. The system uses artificial intelligence to generate clinical notes and monitor online reviews.
